On one of the mornings we were relaxing on Unawatuna's beautiful beach in the Southern Reaches of Sri Lanka, we saw this guy grab three seemingly stray dogs on the beach to give them each a wash. It was pretty funny.
The Unawatuna Beach Dog Wash
We saw the guy when he was in the middle of washing the first dog but then he let that dog swim back to the beach and dragged the second done into the drink for a quick salt water scrub. The second dog, when being dragged in (see picture above), didn't seem too happy but was quite happy when let go. The third dog was carried into the sea and was also pretty happy when it was released to swim back to the shore. The dogs were fine and the guy was gentle with them: at least he was caring for them. Pretty funny right? We thought so! You can hear Queenie in the background saying in Chinese: "Very funny, very funny." We saw this on the second morning on the beach: we didn't see it on the third morning. We do wonder how often he did it.
