Sri Lanka 2012
In 2012 we had an amazing two weeks in Sri Lanka. It was a great trip and we had a tremendous time. We spent a day in Colombo and then traveled to Kandy, Nuwareliya, Ella, Yala and along the south coast all the way to Galle. We had a fantastic time wandering the streets in the cities, drinking tea in the highlands, hanging out near Kandy lake and of course, meeting all the awesome people. The posts below are some of the things we did and saw in that wonderful country. You can see the full travelogue below:

London Days
In February 2008 we went to London to visit Paul's mother. Going to London was like going home! Queenie has some friends in London from her university days and some of our friends from Taiwan have moved to England. We got to spend a lot of time with people we knew. We also made sure we visited many of the historical sites and took a few day trips outside London to Canterbury and Cambridge. The weather was great, the trip awesome and memories were grand. February, 2007Istanbul Reunion
In February 2007 we went off to Istanbul to see Paul's sister Judith, Ahmet and Tibet. Paul's mom also stopped by. This was the first time we were seeing Judith and Tibet in six years and the first time Queenie was meeting Ahmet. Paul also had not seen Ahmet in 10 years. The journey was mellow. We spent a lot of time in tea shops and just walking around the street. Good times with family! To read, follow the link below:

Return to SA
In 2006, shortly after leaving China, we went to spend three weeks in South Africa with Paul's father and wife. The highlights of the trip were catching up with old friends, seeing the wild animals in Ithala game park and the trip to Oribi Gorge. We had a great time. Our ramblings about the trip can be found by following the link below:

May, 2005Remembering Hainan, 2005
When we were living in that crazy town Shenzhen, we need to release the stress and pressure of work. We took advantage of the weeklong May Day holiday and went to Hainan Island. Hainan is a tropical paradise. The beach outside the hotel had palm trees, there was a band next to the pool in the evenings and a great poolside BBQ buffet. What more could a person ask of a tropical paradise? Oh yes, we did leave the hotel for a few day trips. The trip is at the link below:

February, 2004New Zealand 04
During Chinese New Year 2004 Queenie and I had the tremendous opportunity to visit some of our close friends from Taipei in New Zealand. We had a wonderful, wonderful time. The two weeks we spent on the North and South Islands were amazing and the stunning scenery of New Zealand and the great companionship of Simon and Helen made this trip one of the most outstanding we have ever done together. We have long cherished this trip in our hearts and are now glad to share our travelogue with those who are interested. You can see the full travelogue below:
